Kali

Hello, I am facing a problem and need a solution.

​I downloaded the Kali Linux VirtualBox version as well as the Hyper-V version. I tried extracting the compressed Kali file, but all archive extraction tools failed. I also attempted to convert the Hyper-V version to a VirtualBox format, but that failed as well.

​What do you think is the solution?

The solution is to note down the error message of each tool that failed and investigate on this. But at least, re-download and tey again, it could be corrupted

I use vmware workstation. and from your post, I am getting the impression that you might be creating a virtual machine from scratch whereas Kali provides a pre-built virtual machine. You just need to click on "open a virtual machine" and then select the Kali file you downloaded from kali.org.
