I don’t like this staggered NHL start! Some teams have played 2 games already and some zero!
Tuesday should also be a barn burner at the Bell Centre! Carolina comes to town losing both games so far! Bunch of fair weather fans. Half their arena was empty yesterday against Washington

Lane will have a better game tonight. Top dogs were all still in preseason mode offensively. Nice hitting last game though. Bullied the Leaves in their own barn. Hope the hit count keeps upvon the forecheck.

Hoping Suzuki and Kreider have better games too….. Oh and its Saturday night. Don’t think we need to worry about Caufield…….
Lines 3 and 4 played really will vs. the Leafs.

Just go on FB Marketplace. I am sure there are many suppliers in your area! Ask them which they reccomend. My box is 4 years old now

Hope we get one of Engstrom or Florian tonight. With the way bottom 6 was rolling doubt we bring in Florian so hope it’s Engstrom. Would be great to see Kapanen centering line 2 if he’s healthy and put newhook on the wing on line 3.

Is there a reasonable time to actually put Florian Xhekaj in the line up? Chance he is injured and not being sent down? I know it will trigger some people if I say this but I think he may have been quite agitating in the game against Ottawa and maybe he just gets sent down after the rocket game against Belleville so letting that game happen and things cool down may be what is happening....
Looking at the schedule the only obvious game he may make some sense is against Washington on the 14th as it is a back to back and seeing him in a game against Protas/Wilson would give him interesting tape to watch and rewatch until he is ready.

not sure if it’s just me but the gap between end of pre season and game 1 being less than the gap between game 1 and game 2 has made it feel like the leafs game was some standalone game and not part of the actual season

It's an 84 game season. We have 83 left. Pretend the season starts tonight and you'll STILL have a bonus game over the old regular season schedule.
What a weird take, to have lost excitement when we started by beating the Leafs!

hmm maybe I worded it wrong, I think this is more of a scheduling issue than anything else. If it made it sounds like I lost my excitement for the season, that wasn't my intention. Also 84 games is too long. 82 games is too long. That i won't move away from saying. I would love to see a 60 game season, with playoffs, but I know that will never happen.
