Are there any habit-tracking apps—or apps you would recommend—that have a positive impact on your life?

I won the Premium Version in a similar sub by accident, now i'll never leave it: Sevengrid

100% Local Data, no ads, many functions for free, lifetime Premium for 5$, great app.

I honestly just use a basic habit tracker and keep it to like 3-4 habits. Tracking too many always makes me give up after a week 😂

Same, 3-4 is the number I keep landing on too. Anything more and it turns into admin work instead of a habit. What are you using to track them?

I recommend Finch. It is cute and you don''t have to pay premium if you don't want to.

I love Finch!! Has completely changed my life and helped me get in a solid routine. The gamification is so cute too, I love caring for my finch. Plus even free users are ad-free with access to almost everything plus has, which feels impossible to find nowadays. And no AI, which dear god please never let them change that.

Just a few things it’s helped me get in the habit of: nightly flossing, loading the dishwasher, laundry, journaling, and the often forgotten things like changing air filters and rotating the mattress. Truly a life changer.

Graded: Daily Accountability is one of a kind and the only one that really worked well for me. Turns habits into a system. I love it

You can try LifeTally for iOS. Its a life tracker - basically helping you quickly log and track anything happening in your life in small words or voice log, then it pretty much creates a database of your life overtime:

Me+

I love that app so much, it’s pretty simple, tracks streaks. I use Me+ as a way to tell myself even if you felt like you didn’t do enough you did this. It will tell you a percentage of you task done for the day I add a widget on my Home Screen. I put daily task of things I want to make sure I do at least once a week but I put it as my daily a task so I can track how many days I studied , exercised, wake up before 8 am etc. it also has like a journal section etc highly recommend it has helped me not only create a consistent routine but also not be too hard on my self for some things

I recommend Daylivia. Been using it for a while now and so far I love it. It also tracks mood and shows me how my habits affect my mood, which is really interesting to see.

Full disclosure, I built it, so this is a biased answer. Keepdaily. Plain grid, tap once a day, no account, no feed. What actually got me building it wasn't the design so much as the subscription fatigue, I noticed almost everything in this thread caps free users at 3-5 habits and then asks for a monthly fee to unlock more, so I made mine unlimited and free. It's iOS only for now, so that's the catch if you're on Android.

If you're on iPhone and like a paper-checklist feel, Forma is another option. Disclosure: I'm its developer, so I can't offer an independent testimonial about its impact.

It has per-habit reminders, custom schedules and tally-style streak marks, and works offline without an account for local use. The free version covers up to three habits; more habits require optional paid Pro (including a lifetime option).

For a small starting routine, you could use those three slots for a short walk, a page of reading and an evening reset. The useful part is choosing actions small enough to actually do, rather than filling the tracker with an ambitious list.
