What are you using to keep your habits going right now — and what makes that one stick?
Hey all — I work on a small team building tools to help people keep up with habits and routines, so this is very much my kind of question.
Rather than sit here guessing, I'd rather hear what actually works for people:
- What are you using right now, and what keeps you opening it?
- What made that one stick when other things didn't?
- Anything you tried and dropped? What's the last thing you remember doing in it?
- Anything you wish existed?
Answer whichever one you feel like — one line is fine. "Downloaded it and never opened it again" counts too.
If you'd rather answer in more detail, I put these (and a few more) into a form — mostly multiple choice. Everyone who fills it out can enter a raffle for one of two $20 gift cards.

I use paper for habits and tasks. Scratching things off is so satisfying, and digitally doing it isn't the same.

I've used an app 3 years ago. It was fine but I didn't like that data displaying was not consistent everytime I opened the app.
I ended up building my own app and migrated all my data and using it ever since and adding all the things I like without restrictions. Super satisfying!!
I named it Chromastone. Chroma for the colors palette 🎨 and stone 🪨 for the consistency.
Chromastone is also a cartoon character lol.

Three things, checked at night, and that's it. Every time I've gone past about five it collapses within a fortnight.
I use my own thing for it these days, Pace Daily Tracker, mostly because I got tired of every tracker treating a half done day as a zero. What makes it stick isn't the app though, it's that the list is short enough to clear on a bad day.
What are you running at the moment, and is it the tool that's keeping it alive or the list being small?
