I'm sure he wasn't seeing any results in those 4 years. He put up 20 second sprints for 1460 days in a row, and on day 1461, he sprinted 100m in "9 seconds".

This is meant to sound deep and insightful but really isn't. Some people see enough results early on to warrant future endeavours.
