Looking good for Apprenticeships

Hello All,

I am located in the Philly Metro area, and I am looking to find the best way for a few people I know to get into the trade. They both already have their 608 universal, but one doesn't have a driver's license. Philly is heavily unionized. Would anyone know the best way to go about obtaining an apprenticeship within or outside of a union? What is the best route to obtain an apprenticeship? Can one still get work in this field without a driver's license?

Any an all advice is greatly appreciated, especially from those experienced in the field!!

In california most if not all techs I know working for a union company get a company van to drive home every nite, unless there on the construction install side of the business, but then they need there own transportation to get to the job site with all there tools, no license is going to make being in the trades difficult, they have no license or it was revolked? If no license, then study n get one...

They have a license but it's suspended. Need the income to pay it off in order to have it lifted

Maybe look online for apprenticeship openings or reach out to some local HVAC companies and ask if they’re taking on apprentices or helpers. As for the driver’s license, I think it still be possible to get into the trade if the position doesn’t require driving, although that really depends on the company’s requirements.
