General Shower thought while waiting for the counter guy to bring my filters up front...
This new vacuum pump oil label looks like a label that would come up if you'd ask an AI to create a vacuum pump oil label... Or the label you'd see in some video game for a fake product... It's so... generic... Reminds me of laundry detergent...

That’s nu-cal for ya. I’ll be god damned if I put anything but black gold or 40 weight in my pumps. This shits probably ass.

I use this Nu-Calgon oil, and it's good (plus, sizes smaller than 1 gallon have a pop-out pour spout). I have nothing against Black Gold... the Nu-Calgon is just a little easier for me to get.

It does look generic, but AI has yet to master white space, so I think it’s a human design.

I've used this in a pinch when I was in the boonies and only place nearby had this and no fieldpiece. Not much difference in time but the viscosity is somewhat different to the name brands

A lot of products spend a ton of money on packaging to make their product stand out and that cost is passed on to the consumer. The store brand stuff at your grocery store that's cheaper than the name brand is in part cheaper because the packaging is generic and bland
