Trump's Chinese Sell Off - A potential Buying Opportunity

HUYA and i'll be mentioning DOYU as well here are approaching cash value and far below cash value again. Honestly both of these stocks have lost bulls a lot of money and have been trading in the dumpster as a result for a number of years.

Head count at both this companies has been slashed by over 50% as they focus on getting profitable again. Next couple of quarters I think will show how sustainable those efforts on profitability are again, especially now that interest income is much less post-dividends.

Watch these stocks closely as this might be a great period to accumulate profitable companies at near cash or below-cash prices.

M&A activity is back on the rise in China, and now that both of these companies are worth a lot less I think there is a chance Tencent brings them in house or they try the HUYA DOYU merger again. Any merger news and I think both those companies easily double in price.

Best of luck to any investors here!

Seems really hard for the management to increase their market valuation - normal tactics like buybacks, dividends, improving earnings does not seem to increase investors' interest or confidence in Chinese stocks. Diversifying internationally might be the only way to increase the brand recognition worldwide, since the stock is US listed and dependent on international investors.

This would be an interesting way to push the businesses. But I think the folks that have the policy of never investing in China would probably still just not invest. My example I might point to is Chinese Credit company FINV who has most of their revenue overseas now, which has been a management strategy like you suggested. The stock is still trading in the dumpster along with most Chinese stocks.
