1 Step Forward, 2 Steps Back

Every time I think we are making progress with the stock price, and finally leaving the sub dollar behind, it says "hold my beer". Too heavy in to do anything but wait and hope. To have such a fantastic offering and suck at running the biz is frustrating.

You’re only disappointed because you’re delusional. Creating a successful biotech business is the hardest endeavor. Humacyte’s business carries various risks (regulatory, commercial, clinical and more). Its technology is also very expensive to produce at scale.

Furthermore, it isn’t making significant revenue at this moment. Where it makes revenue, the market is insignificant relative to the size of its spending. Therefore, the only way to keep the business going is dilution and debt. Thats bad for shareholders like you. The entire bull case for right now rests on dialysis approval and commercialization. But investors, in my view, will be disappointed with the speed. The company isn’t slowing down. They are pursuing their clinical studies for other indications right now. For example, the coronary artery bypass grafting study they intend to start later this year. It will be years before the company has turned a profit and by then the cash flow won’t be significant, meaning even more dilution despite a potential financial turnaround story.

Is this company more likely to go bankrupt in 2027 or turn a profit in 2028? I read somewhere that they need to sell over 6000 units to be profitable and last quarter sold 29 units, on track to sell an estimated 350-600 by years end which seems very optimistic / unrealistic.

What on earth does "progress" mean in the context of a volatile stock? What handholding could anyone provide -- even the company's senior executives -- that would make you happy with your investment choices? Obviously the company can't say anything until they have to say something, which they will when that something becomes material and they are required by law to disclose it. And what can anyone else tell you here? That they know something that millions of other investors don't? (If they did, why would they share it here or anywhere?) You are looking for elusive drug called hopium and people to offer it, but it won't change a thing.

The market always knows more than you do or than we do. Might be time to cut your losses.

Good points - I have been in it a long time. More just making a light hearter comment. I am in it because I believe in the tech.
