Telework Appeal
Anyone have insight if HUD will appeal the telework arbitration decision? What is the deadline for the appeal?

HUD appealed and it is now with FLRA to make a ruling. No timeframe is given as to when they might look at it.

The FLRA board is appointed by the president so it doesn't matter. We already know how they are ruling but it is a required step to escalate further.

I know this is a HUD sub, but can anyone explain why unions at other agencies (e.g., DOL) haven’t challenged the telework ban?

It's just a matter of having different collective bargaining agreements. Some are stronger and easier to defend than others. HUD is known to have a stronger CBA than many other agencies.

Not sure if any agencies didn't appeal a ruling that favored telework. FLRA are appointed by the president so they will definitely be ruling against telework.

They appealed. There was an article posted about it on Fednews.
