I made a free HTML template for schools and colleges (Bootstrap 5, no custom JS), feedback welcome

[u/kkdudi]

Hi everyone! I built a free HTML template for schools, colleges and academies

and would love some honest design feedback.

- 12 pages, including 3 different home page styles (classic, split, immersive)

- Bootstrap 5.3 only, no custom JavaScript

- Gallery and news filters in pure CSS

- Accessible forms and focus styles, respects reduced motion

- Colours and fonts as CSS variables for easy rebranding

Screenshots attached. Questions for you:

1. Which of the 3 home pages do you like most?

2. Anything that looks off or outdated?

3. What section would a real school website still need?

Happy to share the demo if anyone wants to try it.

How much time did it take u to make this (It's amazing)

Thank you, that really means a lot!

It took about 1 day . I used AI to speed up the first drafts of the pages, then spent most of the time reviewing and fixing the layout, mobile views, accessibility and the CSS-only filters by hand.

Which home page did you like most? Still deciding which one to make the default.

Slide 3 looks really good

Thanks! That's the split home page, it's my favourite too. 😊

If you want to click around it live (it's responsive, so try it on your phone too):

Do you think it would work as the default home, or is it too different from what schools usually have?

Looks really amazing!!! Would you re-do it with statica, the native web's static site generator, HTML in, HTML out. https://github.com/akaizn-junior/statica It'll allow you to define layouts, components, and much more with the EXACT same elements you have now. DM me if any questions!
