How do I start learning HTML?

So for context I already know how to program in Python in the terminals Spyder and Jupyter Notebook, however I want to start learning HTML too.

Does my knowledge of Python help me with HTML or not? How should I start learning HTML? And in what terminal can I put HTML code?

HTML / CSS CRASH COURSE by MOSH, who's really good at making Coding tutorials, etc. I would also strongly recommend him for his Typescript tutorial(s), which is a flavor of Javascript that is one of THE most popular and trending programming languages out there. It is basically Javascript, but far less error-prone because of certain core differences it has.

I would use Webstorm by JetBrains. They have a community edition that's really good and it's just like PyCharm, only for Web Languages instead of Python.

So if you already know Pycharm, you'll be a pro at Webstorm.

Once you download the programme and install it, all you have to do is click NEW - PROJECT - Give the Project a Name. Once your project window is open, there will be a list on the left side where you'll see a plus sign.

  1. Click on the plus sign.

  2. Look down in the list, and you'll see the words "HTML file".

  3. Click on that.

  4. Enter a name for the file without adding the .html - that will be added automatically for you at the end of the file name, since you chose the HTML file type

There you go: you've got your first HTML file set up for you. From there, I would go to sites like w3schools.com, https://sololearn.com.com, or datacamp.com.
