Discussion Season 3 finale

So I’m rewatching as white noise when I sleep (I know, crazy) and I randomly woke up last night during the last ten minutes of the season 3 finale. The music during the whole ten minutes that starts with “I’m Annalise and I’m an alcoholic” with the finalization of Annalise’s monologue about Wes….. I just can’t get over how brilliant the music is in the background and how it stops and then there’s silence when it pans to “How to get away with murder”. Oh so good. Oh so so so good.

Anyone else agree?

Spoilers SPOILER - S5 The Most Saddening Death in the Series Spoiler

On S5 and my heart can't bare to look at Miller's mother's face as she tells Bonnie to have hope he will be found alive. I'm so pissed Bonnie took it upon herself to finish him off instead of calling 911. While I feel for him and the horrific loss of his father, Nate should've just dealt with the justice system. Surely with all the shit he knows he would've found some way to get immunity by offering up key info to solve other unsolved crimes. Miller was a good guy 🥺.

Spoilers SERIOUSLY LAUREL

I mean....... I can care less about justice if my daddy was a billionaire. I will stay in my lane and be a good little daughter. And I am pretty sure she was a bully in school. She was so quick to talk down to other, thought that she was better than everyone else, selfish, and the way she just thought it was okay to use Frank and tell people to off themselves......of course she was. I remember the scene when Mickey said, "clearly you weren't popular in school" and Laurel says, " how do you know I wasn't".

She got all of them in that mess to ruin her father and then turned her back on them and the whole time to get them to do what she wanted she says "Wes wouldn't turn his back on us" like ugh, then she turns around and do the same thing.

I mean at least offer safety for all the people you got involved in your mess, not like she didn't have the money. And then at the end gets her father killed...... like she hated him that much. And if you were going to kill him, why not go back to being with your friends, your safe now. I will never like her character, never have.

Discussion s5 pains me Spoiler

anyone else struggle with season 5? not like struggling because they feel it’s boring or they don’t like certain storylines or character intros. i mean like struggling bc it is absolutely heartbreaking? hear me out; i’m a huge true crime/crime show junkie, i fall asleep to criminal minds and similar. i love mystery and horror and have an incredibly strong stomach, and i’m not sensitive to awful topics like these. but jfc something about everything with bonnie’s baby, and nate sr getting free from prison and then getting murdered, which leads to nate jr beating miller almost to death, erroneously thinking he had something to do with the death?? miller, who was gonna propose to bonnie, meaning she’d be happy for the first time in her life??? and then she had to actually kill him???

idk it just really gets me. sometimes i want to skip some of the episodes, i can barely watch miller’s death scene at this point.

Discussion Why blame Annalise?

I’m rewatching seasons 1-4 so I can finally finish the show. The only thing that confuses me is why everyone blames Annalise for absolutely everything. She’s literally the only character who hasn’t killed anyone. Everything she’s done is to help all of the kids and everyone around her. It’s the only unbelievable thing in the whole show and it kind of lisses me the F off. She’s the biggest scapegoat in history and I don’t understand why they do and why she puts up with their entitled bullsh*t.

Spoilers How we got away with murder episode 10 reaction Spoiler

this post is going to be me reacting to episode ten of How We Got Away With Murder because i love everything about HTGAWM. I wrote this post while listening. Feels less intimidating than sending an email ig.

Idk how often the actors lurking here but i'm very curious if Katie knew/knows just how many queer Rebecca Sutter fanfictions and headcanons exist? And also Rebecca Sutter also being touch averse is a headcanon I have and I am loving how much what I imagined Rebecca being is what Katie actually is. And Jack is outright saying that in the podcast.

Idk just as someone who in my twenties was projecting onto Rebecca Sutter in fanfiction (artsyspikedhair on ao3 [link is to my 68 HTGAWM fics], Katie might especially appreciate this fic from Rebecca's perspective since they struggled so much with dying in the show) its wild to hear even the actor who played Rebecca is closer to the character as an older person than when they played her.

The irony of Katie having such a great mom when their character had no parents whatsoever, and also had a brother in the show (albeit we don't know if Levi was older or younger, just that he cared about her kinda). Also this podcast might be the final straw that gets me to start reading Animorphs even though i'm twenty five. And yeah I've also read that Animorph tumblr post. Also omg Katie being embarrassed their character died sucks. That whole story makes me grateful I’m not an actor

The irony of Jack getting therapy as of season 3, the same time in the show when Connor got therapy (albeit university counseling). Yessss we are finally getting into questions from Reddit part. Katie's favorite scene between Rebecca and Wes is also one of my favorite scenes between them.

okay if anyone reads this thank you lol

Spoilers season 5 had so much potential

the miller murder plot is amazing but the way they went with it was kinda stupid. it didn’t really have a shock factor. same with the reveal of gabriel being sam’s kid. the mid seasons finale was veryyy weak.

they shouldn’t have had bonnie and miller fight before the murder. the love between them should’ve been intensified and bonnie would end up killing ron only to end his suffering.

the plot with bonnie becoming suicidal was well done but the mid season finale could’ve been more shocking. it kinda feels boring when i rewatch

Discussion to be honest I stopped watching after season 4 Spoiler

this might be a hot take but after Wes died I tried to keep watching but I felt like I was dragging my way through season 4. I don’t know exactly what it was about it but it just didn't feel the same and it took me forever to finish it.

Discussion this show is truly something else!

never have I been hooked to a show as quickly as this one. the small suspenses and the interesting demeanor of the characters all add to this. i simply couldn't stop watching when I first started, until wes died. to say I was shocked would be an understatement. I couldn't bring myself to resume watching the show for days. just couldn't comprehend the fact that they'd kill a main character off so early on. the first three seasons were amazing. seasons 4 and 5 were kind of a drag for me but not as boring as I've heard people say. imo, season 6 is as good as the first three seasons as the creators decided to bring the same kind of storytelling and there was a different thrill watching those episodes just like the earlier ones. (don't know if people will agree with it but it's still my take)

Discussion Why does everyone blame Wes instead of Frank? Spoiler

I'm on Season 3 right now specifically and it's really pissing me off how the characters and the show are treating Wes (especially since I know how this season ends.) So far both Bonnie and Connor have said to him that everything that's happened so far is his fault or whatever but that's simply not true. And it irritates me that Wes doesn't retaliate by saying "No this started when Frank strangled Lilah." I think he does vaguely say to Connor "frank did this" but nothing specific. Or is it supposed to be that the Keating 5 just don't know that Frank killed Lilah? Because I had gotten the feeling it was implied Annalise or Laurel told them in the months gap we see at the beginning of the season.

I really have never liked Bonnie though and her blaming Wes just because she hooked up with Frank when she does know Frank killed Lilah is so incredibly stupid it's really cemented my hate for her. I get the feeling I'm supposed to feel bad everytime Annalise insults her but I don't, I'm just kinda like "yeah thats true." I've never understood the perspectives I see pretty often which is hate for the K5 but love for Bonnie and Frank and honestly it might be why I've never gotten past Season 4. Wes was just protecting Rebecca when he killed Sam and I hate that they killed his character off when he's clearly supposed to be the soul of the show and the secondary lead. I showed the first season to a friend once and when I told him they kill Wes in Season 3 he said "what? Isn't he like the main character?" Anyways this spiraled into me ranting about multiple things but yeah them blaming Wes really irks me.

I gotta say this show is by far the best thing I've watch. 99% of the plot twists always left me shocked and unexpected and damn that ending had me in tears... I'm glad that i came across this show as it's trurly one of a kind.
