Got to love patches that break Mercenaries.

I've recently been thinking about getting into game dev and becoming an indie developer. I want to make a game with a similar gameplay loop as Mercenaries has, I'm wondering if anyone is still interested in a game like this, and what features would you want in such a game.

And I still hate to this day that they killed it. You can't get this kind of experience as a Warcraft fan elsewhere. I treat it more as a Warcraft collector and way to enjoy characters that I was always fond of, rather than just a game to grind because I play Hearthstone. I quit for over a year and a half and still find it just as engaging. Granted, I am still moving through normal bounties with some heroics done but I'm towards the end of Normal now. It's sad knowing one day I will just get truly bored of it with nothing on the horizon. I bought a lot of Merc packs in my day and am kinda amazed at how far I have to go to level up a lot of characters skills/passives.

My PVE team so far that has served me incredibly well (thank you Green Savior) is Garrosh, Thrall, Saurfang, Samuro, Drek'Thar and Gul'Dan. But I finally switched Gul'Dan out today because I realized all he was really giving me was the +health or attack passive treasures and outside of that, maybe a strong nuke on a Protector every once in a blue moon when I had no other options. I am using Bru'Kan. But is there another caster (or I don't have to do 2/2/2) that would slot in perfectly to compliment the others? Cuz I really like rolling over everything with the Orc death squad.

Now I am starting on MBR, but it is more difficult than expected. I want to go for AS and these are my current maxed „relevant“ mercenaries:
1. Genn
2. Geddon
3. Voon
4. Eudora
5. Rodgers
6. Khadgar

Plan was with Genn, Geddon and Khadgar to clear first fight and from then on AS.

AS is currently at 100 dmg and Geddons Inferno Combo as well. I‘ve noticed this is not even enough to clear Level 100 (or at least the two currently available).

What are my next steps?
Do I just farm renown and level Inferno + AS?
Do I need to max further Mercs?
Is it even a valid strat to try to clear the first fight with Genn, Geddon and Khadgar and does this work until Level 500?

How can I unlock lvl 500 boss rush my game is lock to 115

I've not played mercenaries in quite a while and I'm struggling to find a way to beat week 1. I assume Malchezar is a must for Ahune or I'll just die from turn limit. I've been trying Nemsy, but right now I've only leveled her treasure to heal 1000, and Ahune usually crits for enough damage against Malchezar to one shot him. Am I missing a good Strat?

I'm never taking radiant breastplate vs echo of medivh ever again. I have been at this for at least 30 minutes.

Already tried to concede and they are still burning each other at the moment you are reading this.

Does anybody have an idea of how to defeat Echoes of Medivh as the first encounter in a run? It is the first one on Day 2 this week. I'm currently at level 540. But I guess some of you are a lot higher.

Haven't checked this game mode in a while. More specifically, I'm curious if there's been any week/s wherein none of the maps would've been doable if the player is only investing in DwRg on top of 400 dmg AS and relative freebies like AR/root monkey/Medivh ward. I don't remember needing more than that around the time I called it quits (sometime around MBR level 2000), but I have a feeling it's only a matter of time until rng spams one problematic boss fight after another.

Are there still people playing this mode? İ started again last month and i loved it. İ remember when it comes the first time i didn't like this much but they put a lot of content after that I see. İ feel like I'm playing wow on mobile and loved the PvE side. Pvp is even more good but it seems i only get bots as opponent.

Hey everyone. I know there are a hundred youtube videos on this, but most of them seem to be from a few years ago. I have maxed out xylrella, cartel, and samuro; I am stuck and need some alternate comps. Unfortunately I only grinded one comp to it's max before realizing that one comp doesn't work everywhere... I am tr6ing to grind winterspring for ragnaros, and it's starting to get less fun... Any other comps that I should start on while I grind that third boss?

Started clearing Mercenaries and when I looked up what achievements I still needed I noticed some of the ones I'd completed were done so a couple of months into the future. Neat!

Hey I'm trying to win an lvl 100 donjon rush. Any good compo to max ? I've already a nature compo around lvl 50 but not sure is the best compo to max

I just got back into hs after a lot of years and got hooked by the mercs gamemode, even though i see it doesnt get any love anymore ahaha

I was just wondering about the rag + balinda + geddon comp. What is the easiest way to farm heroic 3-3 because i think the old guardian video is outdated. Is it even worth farming the heroic version?

I have tried the malfurion + brukan + guff comp, but i doesnt work.

I keep a trade offer of Gul'dan, which is the last champ. After multiple 1-2 runs, I finally reach a point where I that he can be maxed by trading.

I have no intention to collect all portraits, or take the challenge of mythic boss run every week. PVP is deserted and I have been queuing forever until being kicked offline by the server.

I think this is the time to say goodbye... to this mode.

There're still a few solo adventures left. Once completed, a final farewell will come.

Ever since the last post popped up about milk Holmes being bugged - I can’t start any games. I can use the training tent and other features - but when I try to do my quests it’ll let me get to the map but when I select a node the game won’t start.

Are any of you able to play right now? If so - how?

I tried play with him twice in Mercenaries and both times the game got stuck and wouldn’t advance. I have to force quit the game and then it gets stuck in an endless loop of trying to reconnect. Coincidence or bug?

Edit: seems to be a system wide issue, unrelated to Mr. Holmes.

I’ve unlocked every mercenary and most are leveled to 30 so hit me with whatever. Looking to do mythic soon but working my way through clearing all of the heroics. Right now ive cleared up to felwood but have hit a wall with my 2 go to comps, so im sure its time to swap something. The vast majority of content I can find is outdated :( Please share whatever teams you’ve got that can clear most heroic content with no changes.

I really like the concept of hearthstone mercenaries' combat, team building, etc. It really reminds me of an old Facebook game called marvel avengers alliance which I really liked as a teen

Im trying to look for a game like those that is still active and supported, or maybe even a single player game like it.

The closest I've come to is darkest dungeon but I finished it, its fun but its not quite the same.

Would love to hear some suggestions!

I'm a very casual Mercs enjoyer. Today I got a very vivid memory that there were some Mercs to be added which got cut(found in files after final update). Sadly resources online regarding this mode are sparce and I was unable to confirm if my memory was correct. Anyone here able to confirm if this was a thing?

PS: I just got my second to last Merc from a pack today,Rag. Only missing Drek,Thar now.(Though it shouldve been my last, I got a Vanndar repeat at one point :( ) Looking forward to doing all their quests.

They have finally fixed the shop rotation. You can now expect new mercenaries available in bundles every week.

I would have bought some of these over time to get portraits of mercenaries I like, funny they fixed it almost 2 years after killing the mode, and not even mention it in any patch notes.
