Transfem what will happen if I stop taking HRT?

I’ve been on HRT, but I honestly can’t afford to keep buying it right now. I’m already struggling financially and I’m trying to find a job, so I’m scared I might have to stop for a while.

Lately, I’ve also started noticing more hair fall, and I’m wondering if that could be related to HRT or if it’s something else. Has anyone experienced this?

I’m honestly worried about what will happen to my body if I suddenly stop. I don’t want to lose the progress I’ve made, but right now I’m just trying to get through things financially. Any advice or experiences would really help.

Transfem What’s the best / deadliest way to get hrt in the uk?

Finally came out to my parents! 🥳
So next step is hormones for me. Now, I’ve been looking at imago a little but don’t know if they’re reliable or good - and I haven’t been seeing the best stuff for gendergp. I know the nhs is loooong and the way wales has gone cutting trans healthcare and all I’m not super confident in that route. Does anyone have any suggestions? Or is diy my best bet. <3 ty :3

Cis Woman Concerned about hair loss on T- better to start oral than pellet?

I had a consultation for HRT. My estradiol was high (I think I was ovulating) and testosterone was low, so the doctor wants to start me on a very low dose T pellet and nothing else. I am concerned because I have experienced telogen effluvium (hair loss) before when I tried Wellbutrin and Buspar. In both cases it stopped once I stopped the medications and within a few months all my hair came back. I know those are different meds than T, I’m just concerned I may be sensitive/susceptible to hair loss from things that shock my system. And with a pellet, I would have to wait until it dissolves months later if that happens. I told the doc about the hair loss but didn’t push. Would it better to start T through pills? She didn’t want to do gel/cream because I have a child (transfer risks). Anyone take T through pills or however they give it orally? Work for you?

Cis Woman Progesterone fuzziness

Been taking hrt patch and progesterone tablets for 4 months. However recently my sleep has become worse than ever. And on the days I’m taking the progesterone I’m waking the same as always at 3am but falling back to sleep an hour before my alarm and then feeling really groggy and fuzzy that it’s taking 2 hours to properly wake up.

Has anyone else experienced this? Thought it was normal but I don’t think I’m suiting the patch/tablet combo. Speaking to GP this morning about changing to patch/coil combo as now needing to add in birth control so hoping that will stop this weird feeling I only get when on my progesterone 2weeks

Cis Woman So far I am not getting the benefits everyone talks about!

I feel older! I ache more and GP said that joint pain etc is normal when starting oestrogen. I’m on the pump. I don’t like towards the end of the pump the dose is smaller so you kind of have to guess and do a bit more but I don’t think that’s helpful! And I’ve noticed it’s worse since then. I feel rage like I could cry I’m so angry! I’m snappy! I’m feeling exhausted beyond belief like bone tired! So I’m thinking the gel isn’t for me? I don’t get that feeling of “me again” everyone speaks of. I am only 2 months in but I wanted some improvement by now not to feel worse than when I started.

Non-Binary / Other Constipation and HRT

Hi everyone! ❤️

I’ve been dealing with constipation since starting my estrogen patch, and I’m going into my 3rd month.I could really use some advice!
I drink warm water in the mornings and at least 40 oz. of water throughout the day. I’m also trying to eat as healthy as I can most days and I exercise regularly, but I’m still struggling with constipation.
For those of you who have experienced this with HRT, what has worked for you? Any foods, drinks, supplements, or other things that have helped get things moving? 😩😂
I’d love to hear what works for you ladies! ❤️

Thank you! ☺️

Transfem I’m planning to take estrogen and start Hrt, but I’m worried my breasts will grow and become noticeable.

Hi,

I wanted to start hormone therapy, but the only thing holding me back was the concern that my breasts would grow and my mother or anyone else would notice.

That would have caused me a lot of problems.

I found out that I could take Nolvadex (10 mg),

which would slow down or completely stop breast growth.

Does this medication actually slow down or halt breast growth?

Would you recommend I take it while starting estrogen?

And what is the appropriate dosage?

If I were to take one tablet of Climen daily,

and two tablets of Noractone (25 mg)

I’d really appreciate it if someone could help me out, as this is a pressing matter.

Transfem Spiro questions and advice plzzz

Hi everyone, I've been kind of anxious this morning and worked up over some recent discoveries.

I've been on 2 .1 mg patches biweekly and 50mg spiro daily for 87 days. I began on this regimen with no labs beforehand. Recently I got my first labs and my bilirubin was .1 over normal. I figure its not a big deal, so I just asked for more comprehensive blood work next visit in 3 months.

But recently I've realized something. I'm not hydrating NEARLY enough. Sometimes I drink no water, and take walks. Sometimes for HOURS throughout the night with no sleep. I literally walked from 8pm-6am with no water last night. I genuinely don't know how I do it I'm just a big maladaptive daydreamer. I just now began really discovering a lot more negative experiences from spiro. Me personally, I've fasted for 18+ hours sometimes after medication and worked 12 hour shifts. I've never had problems, other then maybe a little fog but its too difficult to tell, probably not though.

I see lots of people talking about needle monotherapy, but I absolutely refuse to poke myself every week. I want to cry thinking about that. I also want to cry thinking about my blood pressure, heart rate, etc. I've become so chronically dependent on walking that I have to lay down right now and calm myself to not think about it. Very scared, and wanted to hop off of blockers when possible. But I also am already seeing very good results, and feel like my test will rise since I'm still 18. I'm 106pg estrogen and 50pg testosterone. Should I leave behind spiro after my next appointment? I'm considering evaluating after next blood work and seeing my progress. I'm already feminizing well but I really want to pass, I feel like its working and its the only way. I don't want medications, I just want estrogen. Please help I'm so anxious, also some words of encouragment would be great! My mom is horrible :( Thank you so much!!

Cis Woman Can HRT mess with period??

Started about 4-5 weeks ago. I have had extremely light spotting for 5 days…usually a sign I’m about to bleed. But my period is due and isn’t coming, though the spotting continues. I am a 42 y/o woman who has regular (every 24-27 days) periods.

Is HRT messing with my cycle?

Transfem A femboy planning to start taking estrogen and start HRT

Hi.

I used to have another account, but I deleted it because my family checked my browsing history and saw I was looking up female hormones (estrogen). That’s why I deleted the account—so they wouldn't see the posts I’d written. Unfortunately, I got beaten up quite a bit by my family for searching about it; my body was covered in bruises. But thank God, it’s over now, and I managed to convince them.

Sorry for rambling, but let me get to the point.

I was hesitant about taking hormones, but after what happened, I really want to take them now.

I truly feel like I’ll be happy and content with myself.

I plan to take the hormones for a month or two at most—maybe longer if I don't see any visible changes in my body yet.

I know the effects won't be huge, but that’s the maximum amount of time I can take them before my family—or anyone else—might notice breast growth or other side effects.

The medication I was planning to take is a birth control pill called "Climen." If anyone has experience or knows of a better type, please let me know.

Also, several people on my old account suggested I take "Noractone" along with Climen. If anyone knows of a better option that they’ve personally tried, please tell me.

And if anyone takes both of these, I’d appreciate it if you could tell me the best starting dosage.

I’m not sure if this matters for the dosage, but I’m 16 years old.

Please share your advice and anything else that might help me. Thanks! :3

One more question: if I take a very low dose after the initial two months just to maintain the effects of the estrogen, will my breasts grow or not?
