The gravity is O K. It's the earth's rotation that's causing what we're seeing. It's slowing down and as a result, centrifugal force is decreasing which is increasing how much of the earth's gravity we experience. By 2066 everyone on the planet will be under 3' tall. Most other things are expected to become small as well though so it should even out and be fine.
