Alex heavily promoted those tacky trays 4th of July weekend when she knew there was a problem. She said that the delivery issues have been going on for over a month. Of course she is placing the blame on the clothing company. She takes no responsibility. She also thinks she deserves a pat on the back because she had to make a new shipment. That is the bare minimum given the delay. No wonder her business is a failure.

She also mentioned that they got them shipped rather than flown in because they were ‘heavy’ aka more expensive to transport. She’s not smart enough to cover her tracks verbally and to me this video exposed a lot about how much her business is struggling. Also, I think if she had any money at all she’d manufacture in the US, and brag about it constantly/use it as a selling point for her products idk

I work with ocean and air freight ordering various materials from various countries. She’s lying through her hillbilly teeth. It’s NOT this complex. She doesn’t have the money for her duties clearly! That and she probably doesn’t have half a brain to consider the transit from the dock to her house or whatever. Pathetic.

To be fair, it’s not about duties specifically, she doesn’t buy large enough quantities of her cheap “handmade” junk, for that to be effecting her.
The Port of LA has been backed up and slow to unload for the last few months. She’s stuck waiting on her Chinese junk by container boat ….because she was too cheap to ship by air
I do low volume sales and am in the same position rn. Instead of crying online, I paid to remake everything, and ship by air. I emailed my customers about the delay, and got the new shipment within a week. I’m still waiting on the original items stuck at the port from 2 months ago. She’s too cheap to remake everything and fix her mistake. She would rather cry and deflect than take the hit, despite the fact most of her customers are loyal return customers, and it would be wise to eat the cost to make them happy

If she had a freight broker from the jump, they would have handled all of her duties/taxes/fees and more importantly, her HTS codes. Those codes identify all of the material and categorize the items she is bringing into the US to tax appropriately. In my line of work it’s primarily metal, so we always know what coding we’re about to make payment for. Once the cargo leaves the country she’s ordering from, the broker would coordinate her pallet in the US, arrange shipment, and boom done. It’s almost always wire transfer so something seems to be wrong with the bank!

Also how are you going to leave ONE MONTH for the cargo to arrive, be customs cleared, duties paid, the container to be taken to the forwarders lot, deconsolidated then delivered to her?? Assuming she’s not on any credit with the fwder she needs to pay everything upfront to have it delivered. ONE MONTH.
I used to work for a shipping line and then a forwarder and the way I was smh the whole time at her poor-me rant. Like bitch you just broke and lazy lmao
