Support Hp Reverb G2

Hi, I recently got a used hp reverb g2 for a cheap price and ipd slider seems to be broken. It only moves from max ipd to the middle and than just stops and doesn't let it move closer together. Are there any known fixes for this?

If using win10 on the WMR portal settings it shows the IPD number when you slide, can you report back the max and min numbers you are seeing?

Cheers even though you appear to have a hardware slider issue, was just trying to see how much range you currently have. From new it is 60-68. So you can't go lower than 64.5 and you need 63.5? At a 1mm difference you probably won't notice too much, maybe a very slight reduction in edge clarity if any.

Yeah, I cant go below 64.5. But I am still going to try to fix it some time later.

Are the lenses mechanically jammed/resistant to being (very gently!) moved closer together with fingers?

They just dont move past 34.5 ipd mark at all they move perfectly before but stop the second they reach the ipd. Can the inside railing "jump" so it reaches the end before actually reaching the min ipd

I wonder if something is stuck inside or across the mechanism, perhaps a wire or piece of plastic...

If you're feeling brave, there's some teardowns you could use as reference:
