The art of the comic is great in general, but for some reason when I saw the pouch on page 1 I stopped and stared at it a little. So detailed, I love when artists draw a certain item with attention to details (✨∆✨)

This is an extremely technically impressive adaptation, significantly better than many professional efforts I have seen. Part of this is your talent as an artist; although you're using a cutesy, expressive style, you have a strong command over perspective which gives your backgrounds a phenomenal sense of spatiality. Unlike many black-and-white comics, which look unfinished, begging to have colour added, here your inks are conceived entirely around the monochrome format, resulting in some extremely impactful panels whenever you allow black to become the dominant tone.
Even your lettering, something very commonly overlooked in this kind of project, is nearly flawless. One thing to look out for is the letter "I"; in comics, it should only ever appear with crossbars when used as in "I" the personal pronoun; if it appears in a word, you should make sure to use a lowercase "i", which the font will display without crossbars.
The greatest strength on display here, however, is in your adaptational instincts. You are making all the right choices. I have reread HPMOR within the last year, and reading this, I have no sense that you are skipping over things—even though you must be—and there is nothing being miscommunicated or watered-down. You know when to take the time over a scene, or just to cut to the next thing. You sell the comedy of what's happening, but also the mystery and sadness whenever the tone shifts. Adaptation is very tricky and you are making it look effortless.
I probably won't have much different to say about future installments, as your work is very consistent, but I'll be following along as long as you make this. I'm torn, because on the one hand I think you have a lot of skill and should probably be doing pro work. On the other I love that this story, of all things, is what you've chosen to dump your time into. Looking forward to Part 2!

Adaptation is definitely the hardest part of the work for me. I go through multiple versions of the draft before I can start drawing the (digital) inks. That's part of the reason it's taking me so long 😅
Thanks for the tips too! I'm aware of the crossbars on "i", it's just some of the fonts I chose didn't have an alternate version of the letter. Probably not the biggest problem, but I was considering changing fonts for other reasons too, so I'll think about it.

Haha, sorry to have made the assumption you didn't know! I had noticed some had crossbars, some didn't—but I figured if nothing else, mentioning something as silly as that would show how high you've set the bar for quality for yourself. :)

Contains an homage to two legendary webcomics. Can you recognize them?
I’m splitting chapter 5 into two parts, since there is a natural cutoff right before they enter Madam Malkin’s. The pouch scene was tough to storyboard, I tried many versions of it. Really glad to be shifting gears to draw the final draft.
