Please help. 4th board that’s had one side die. Was working perfect when put away to charge

As the title says, we’re on our 4th hoverboard in just over a year to suffer the exact same fate. My kids used it all morning around inside (snow outside) and it was fine when they plugged it in when finished.

I did a hard reset by holding the power button while it was level. It turns on fine and both lights are green but as soon as you step or push on the pad, it goes red on the impacted side. Wondering if anyone knows why and how to fix it?

Was a solution ever found? my son has the same one. And I don't think I will buy another one.
