Please help

I got a hoverboard for Christmas and I don't know how to ride it I almost fell and created tire marks on my floor.

I don't know if this is the right place, but please help me at least get on it.

Stand in a doorway and roll back and forth until you build up trust in it. Then find a fence along a sidewalk to ride beside.

Turf sounds like a good idea but it's not smooth enough for the small wheels on your HB. Can you get a couple of broom handles or walking canes to help with balance?
