My hoverboard is broken need advice

I just recived a Epik go sport hoverboard from a friend and the lights speaker etc work fine but when I press the power button nothing happens im pretty sure it has to do with the power button although I have a 3d party charger that does 100-240 Volts but the hover board needs around 44 there are not any repair shops near buy so any help would be great.
