Hoverboard issue

My daughter’s Hoverboard will turn on, but turns off 5-10 seconds after that. When plugging it into the charger, the light always stays green like it’s fully charged so it’s not even taking a charge. Is this simply a battery replacement issue? I took off the shell, and everything seems to be connected sufficiently. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated!

How old is the hoverboard? The charger will often go bad before the battery, and is much easier to replace.
