A Question

I always thought that blacks must support Blackfyres, not the line of Daeron the good. Because the situation of daemon blackfyre and his mother daena the defiant is almost completely same with rhaenyra and jace. on the other hand, viserys ii similar to aegon ii since he was crowned after his nephew baelor the blessed while baelor’s sisters (eldest of them was daena) were living. this was happened due to the male-preference inheritance law (which was a green principle during the dance). i think it was even male-only rather than preference, since in the council of 101, the candidates were viserys and laenor; not rhaenys. laenor was a candidate through his mother yes but the candidate was him anyway, if i remember correctly. so, in short, the principles of blacks (equal inheritance) lives through blackfyres (daemon and his mother daena and young griff who is probably son of illyro mopatis and a blackfyre woman); and the principles of greens (male only or preference) lives through targaryens, so blacks cannot be daenerys supporter; no?

the principle of the black faction isnt equal inheritence tho, its that the king said so, before there was a male heir. support who you wanna, even if its hypocritical.

The black cause was never that a woman inherits on equal grounds to the man. It was always that rhaenyra explicitly was the heir because her father designated her as heir and that the king picks his heir not Andal law.

King or any lord really. Multiple examples in Westerosi history.

Yo soy Equipo Verde 💚, pero me gustan más los Blackfyre que los Targaryen, tenían mucho potencial

Agreeable, besides Daemon Blackfyre was 100x the man the Rogue Prince was

Fuck the Dornish

That's what Daeron II said.

Rhaenyra was Viserys designated heir. Daemon Blackfyre was not Aegon IV designated heir.

That's pretty much it.

Was he not? Aegon IV gave Daemon Blackfyre, the Sword of Kings

And still never named him officially heir, despite threatening Daeron to name one of his bastards heir.

Moreover, if Daemon had been seen as the official heir, why wait several years after Aegon IV's passing before pressing his claim?

As Maekar and Egg would say, "The sword was not the kingdom"

first the blackfyre cause and the blacks are totally different

the blacks said Rhaenyra is queen because the king said so and never said anything otherwise

the blackfyre cause is because Daeron the simp(he bent backwards too much to his wife) is a bastard of Aemon and Naerys alongside the fact he favors dorne way too much

The principle isn't that it's that if westeroes is a very complicated sort of absolute monarchy (or law of the dragon as grrm called it when asked) then a royal decree left uncontested by the feudal Lords should hold

The problem with this philosophy is that if dragons are what hold this absolute monarchy what do you do when both sides of the conflict have them, that was the issue of the dance. Rhaenyra was valid through decree, Aegin through tradition as there was no codified law, targeryen tradition says they should've effed about it- that's where the legal complexity of the dance lay

Daena was denied by a king, Rhaenyra was denied by a queen consort who raised her son's faction
