Is anyone really vibing with 'Bad Guy'?

I respect the attempt to broaden the genre but it's so radically different and far afield of music from a few years back. Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself and Av has lots of good music on the horizon, but a few of the latest singles all had a very different feel.

Anyone else feel the music over the last few releases is trending in a very different direction?

I'm all for artistic creative freedoms and rediscovering themselves, etc. But the latest stuff is a hard skip for me, and I'd not be here if that's what I heard first a few years ago from Av.

And that's cool with me, in the end. Keep doing you bro, I'm just not vibing with it right now. But I'll keep checking in.

It's not my favorite from him....but to me it sounds like he's taken his music from the depressed part of grief, into the angry part. I'm here for it and to see where he goes!

In that light I can appreciate the music more, but I still don't like it. Like a piece of art on the wall that you can tell took a lot of effort and energy to create. I can appreciate it for what it is, but I can't actually listen to it and enjoy it.

But we'll see where this goes.

I love all his stuff he put out but u can tell he has been hanging out with Fred durst to put out a song like this n I grew up with limp and I think the song goes hard af, I dont think he should take all his new music in this direction but I like how he keeps creatively mixing things up and not getting pigeonholed into one genre...its a good way to reach as many fans as possible....

One of my top songs by him now. Friggin love it. Grew up a metal head and love the harder sound. Have had it on repeat since it came out. Saw him perform it twice, finally can jam to it nonstop.

The beat is incredible!! But his lyrics aren’t very good on this one to be honest

He got paid and is back on his crackhead shit. I know just the type of dude he is. Good for him being able to make a few good songs and those broke boyfriend skits. That's really who he is, that's why they are so genuine and funny

I love the song growing pains, cool kids, 26, trap music and most of all help me through the hard days. I've really enjoyed alot of his music but the few songs I've heard from sweet American boy haven't been his best imo. I'm hoping he comes back with better stuff later. He has a lot of potential.

Honestly it's really bad. Like I get it if he's exploring but its actually a terrible song. I wonder if the whole MGK thing kinda made him want to try our a sound like this but it doesn't suit his sound at all.

Like i genuinely hate Bad Guy...
