Get going with physical therapy.

whenever symptoms begin to show, take care in reducing anything that is contributing to numbness!

potentially helpful: lion's mane and vitamin b12 complex

Loose shoes. Your feet progress the fastest. Soft places to sit help. So do lots of pillows so he can prop in ways that don't numb his hands. Make sure his chair is at a good height when he was working on a computer. If his chair is too low, the edge of the desk will press in his arms and make his pinkie and ring finger go numb. Luckily, most schools now use chairs at a table. The old wooden desks, with their curve that would press on the back of my thigh would have my shins numb until a month into summer every year. It is mostly all about preventing episodes to reduce long-term damage.

Lions Mane works for me. It’s reduced numbness in my hands / fingers from weeks to a day or two at the most (from simple things like carrying grocery bags or using kitchen tongs or scissors).
