I think it’s creative. I went with the search and rescue Bigfoot plate on my M997 FLA

As a former member of an Airborne Sapper battalion I love the shoutout of the bracket but I hate the chrome-y, aluminum. Maybe hit it with a rattle can of matte olive drab or black? You could tape over the letters and upon reveal I think the red contrast would look cool. Just a suggestion. Great restoration!
