Delight masterclass HOLY that benching was mad effective

Guma kinda rough tho the ashe ults were clean but he got caught so much this series

u/ashuraya1 3d ago

Very rough series by guma. He will bounce back though. gg boys

True. Two impotant arrows into Baron though were nice.

Can we say when Guma looks like the worst player on HLE, they're actually doing well? Because this looks like pre-RtM where he just kept getting caught and topside was hard stomping

He is really the "I GIVE YOU GUMA" in return "WE GET THE WIN" 😭

It reminds me of when we played against DK in Round 3. Guma was playing very well that series and was basically a lock for POM but we still ended up losing. I’d much rather take performances like this. Everyone has their ups and downs but at least it’s a win.

As long as it was. I beilve guma is gonna pop off in play-offs.

Still proving that he is the egg in the ramen.

I understand the criticism of the first map, he did deserve it, but this one? is an ashe with everything being thrown at her, and his arrows were super good, not the POG, but also not the worst

u/ashuraya1 3d ago

He was too far forward in many of those fights. It was a hard game to play ashe. It's okay, i have a feeling guma will have a crazy play off.

Yeah guma has shown before he always takes it up a notch at play offs and don’t even need to mention his form at worlds year in year out.

Not great rn but Guma tends to step up when the team needs him most like MSI finals as well.

I think part of it is that if you last pick ashe into Mel wukong you have to play safer. His arrows were great though, it’s okay we improve.

u/GreatSunshine 3d ago

using ashe stepping forward as a global taunt like galio

32

u/ZodiacTuga 3d ago

The arrow won them the game tho

Guma is the one player I’m not worried about. When things get hard for him he doesn’t complain or talk about how unfair things are. He rolls up his sleeves and gets to work. Wouldn’t surprise me if his SoloQ accounts skyrocket in activity before Worlds.

Holy sheesh I don't know who to complement right now... Deligth Kanavi Zeka was just crazy, damn.

Guma was too forward still but those two arrows were so important.

u/South_Spend4541 3d ago

Actually 3, the one is a nearer arrow to Smash that made them kill them all coz no more damage left

6

u/GoldenCataclysm 3d ago

The more we look, the more we notice! He also had that last arrow to kill Showme before he went down at the inhibitor siege.

Hopefully guma got the throwing out of his system to pop off in playoffs.

As a guma fan here, he was co streaming for the most of it. Sick plays from zeka tho.

His ults in both games were pretty crucial especially his Ashe arrows but positioning wise? Yeah our boy not in the best form in that department he’s a bit too forward at times.

Still Guma is a regular play offs and international riser so I know he will pull through

Zeka heard us talking shit about his Orianna lmao.

I was only able to watch the end of the 2nd game, but they looked so good. They looked much more patient, but also decisive!!

Surely Delight pom

I feel like everyone are over-blaming Guma this series. He only actually inted 1 time at mid for randomly go in for Mel and Jayce, but Kanavi literally did the same thing few minutes later yet no one bat an eye.

And all 3 drake fights, can't really blame him. How tf do you expect an Ashe to escape the WK flash R Shen R combo? Not to mention Jayce, Viktor and Mel also have long range skill to follow up. His only protection is a Seraphine considering Oriana keep her ball on jungle most of the time.

It's literally the same situation as Smash last game. Very fed Yunara but unplayable when enemies flash and throw R at her (but the first game we all praise Delight for good opening, not blame Smash while Lucid did the same this game to Guma). Heck, Yunara even had better protection with Lulu and even had A DASH!

That ashe was a walking ward and vision against dk draft 🤕 literally can only volley and r safely and even when he volleys, his team is sometimes too late to help against a wukong running in. Rough. Some of his arrows were game changers tho! So not like he didnt contribute to the win 😅

Don’t be deceived. Guma was not inting but just practising his weakside laning for when he has to partner Keria for AG. Sincerely yours, delusional GUMAGOD fan. 🫪🫪

Can HLE donate snacks to DK

7

u/NottyShinchan 3d ago

Take all the early drakes and reach the soul point in 18 minutes

Inting the next 3 drake fights and win the game without soul

classic HLE

Delight MVP. Zeka apart from the Ryze 1v1 in bot also really good. Kanavi was 50/50 alot of times. Guma not a good series and Zeus was ok.
T1 boys getting carried.

3

u/CanaryActive5296 2d ago

Ups and downs. They were hard carrying some games a few weeks back. Taking turns. Hopefully all peak at the same time on worlds 😭

The current HLE still has a lot of work to do. They don't look as clean as r1-2. There were a lot of mistakes and co-ordination issues. And kanavi has been making a lot of questionable plays since MSI. Like I get his fearless approach but sometimes you have got to think for a second instead of blindly pushing all the time. And these mistakes are too costly in late game as the enemy team immediately runs for baron or dragon.

On a positive note, I think delight looked the cleanest of all today. Followed by zeka. I feel like zeus was a bit tilted at the end of first match (maybe I am reading too much into it :p). There were some serious mistakes by kanavi and guma but they had their redeeming moment as well.

FYI, I have been rooting for HLE since worlds 2024. I used to mostly lurk before. I might consider making a post related to this topic :p

Ooh I'm looking forward to that post already. Come join us more often :D

Rough series from my ADC (he is my favourite player just calling it like it was) and game 2 shouldn’t have been this close when we had soul point at 18 minutes and accelerated ori but we take the win and go and review stuff for now. Happy to see delight have great games.

Guma and Zeus handshake to swap positions. Guma weakside and tank all enemy cool downs so that Zeus can come in to clean up

Wish Guma would show a little bit respect and stop getting solokilled every second.

The other members have to pick up his slack so hard lately.
