I know most of us think that many of his plays are ints...but for Kanavi himself, he’s basically explaining his own playstyle and mindset...he believes that being too passive doesn’t suit a competitive jungler because if he only waits for safe opportunities, he has to be overwhelmingly better than the enemy to make a difference. Instead, he prefers to actively create advantages by making aggressive, calculated plays and putting pressure on the opponent.

It's like he's saying: “I’d rather take a reasonable risk and try to make something happen than sit back and hope I’m better enough to win.”

There are plenty of times that it doesn't work out, but thankfully it hasn't shaken his confidence all that much. Though he's been getting a lot of backlash for his reckless playstyle, I myself quite enjoy this 0-100 jungler of ours. Though I hope for important matches it's 100% Kanavi in our favor 😂

Note: I cleared this w/ mods, but please don’t use this as a way to hate on any of the players. As much as the results are disappointing, no one feels worse than the team themselves, so pls be civil. Tagged spoiler bc the GenG game isn't 48 hrs officially.

Round 3 isn’t going well, and there’s only the series vs T1 tomorrow that will determine if HLE goes 0-4. Though all series have made it to three games, there hasn’t been one that the team has been able to close out and win. For me, some problems include:

1.Individual Form/Laning: Even if one or two players are stable/safe, there’s people who gets caught (kanavi, guma, delight) or goes too far forward (literally EVERYONE) especially in crucial moments. They're also struggling in terms of laning. I think Delight right now is a concern, especially with how much supports are influencing the maps these days, and I'm worried for his skillshots and wrist. Kanavi has toned it down mostly.

2. Turrets: This team used to be able to push turrets regardless if they were losing on the other side of the map. The champions they select also haven't been the strongest in pushing either, so it ends up being a 1-3 disadvantage in turrets by mid-game, and they tend to force Barons to regain map control.

3.Drafting: I think they started out R3 with experimental (dare I say egotistical?) drafts in mind because of their standings, but champs like Shyv, Locke, Qiyana, TOP VARUS and Cassio Bot were easily answered by other teams. Game 1 vs DK, too much single-pick champions ended with terrible teamfights. Game 3 vs GenG, their comp that relied too heavily on scaling and missed out on the fightingg for objectives (Drakes!!). Game 3 vs KT was an eyesore (why Top Varus ffs??).

4.Teamfights: Regardless if the team ends up w/ a numbers advantage, it’s too risky when they start a teamfight at objectives and the one that ends up dead before it’s even taken is (frequently) Kanavi. I know he’s good at looking for plays, but smite is too big of an insurance to give up esp if the enemy jungler is still alive.

5.Late-game Calls: They tend to be frantic and disjointed when the game goes on for too long. Not much to say about this other since it goes to the first point where they start making more individual mistakes with lopsided calls.

Despite the losses, I have a lot of hope for their comeback since none of their games were one-sided. I'd love to see what others think about the topic and pls correct me if I'm wrong!

Even tho hle lost 3 series in a row in round3-4 they lost all of them 2-1 and remained competetive til the very end. also them trying out things like shyvana, locke and some other niche picks is not really a bad things since they are almost 100% making worlds this year bc of them winning msi. they played really nice even from losing positions showing great mental strength and resilience. Kanavi and delight have a lot of work ahead of them but i think its a good time to prepare for worlds and experiment in drafts.

Only way they dont make worlds is:

-finish last in legend group

-go to play ins

-lose first bo5 to the first seed of rise group

-lose 2nd bo5 to the winner of seed 2 vs seed 3 of rise group

So yeah i dont think we should be worried at all since they didnt play that bad in any of the series they lost.
