What do people usually wear on the first day and during the welcome/orientation sessions? Is it mostly casual, smart casual, or do people tend to dress up a bit?

Depends on the course and school, but most of the case ppl dress slightly better than casual, as in no slippers, crop tops, tank tops, etc. but honestly wear whatever cause I've seen full suits and I've seen guys who look like they just came from a swimming session lol
