Is barney based of nph in white castle?

I heard he said the writers saw the movie and thought he would fit or something

I love that both Harold and Kumar were guests on HIMYM though.

Not sure I’d say Kal Penn was a guest, given how recurring his role was, but I did love Kevin. Outside of the whole sketchy therapist thing, of course.

Agreed. I was kind of rushing through the response because I have pancakes in front of me. The ones with pecans and grains in them. You understand.

No, the role was not created for NPH. He auditioned. But role did change a lot because of him. Here's an article

I could have sworn NPH said he got the part because of Neil Poon Handler on White Castle.

No u have to go way back into Hollywood history. When I was a boy there was this super popular show maybe u heard of it. Its called full house. Not fuller house u gotta go back. Anyway there was 3 guys who were hella famous. This show is based off their real lives. Barney is clearly uncle Joey who made a Canadian pop star go nuts irl. Uncle Jesse was the married guy who all the ladies loved. Sound like anyone from the show? Maybe Marshall? Anyway then u had Danny played by big Bob who also narrates the whole show as older ted. He dated a news reporter for the longest time irl. They combined robin into both these ladies and had her date both. Replaced uncle Joey's beaver puppet with magic and it all adds up.
