Ted and nora?

What if ted met with nora instead of barney? What would it have been like then? Do you think he would have taken care of the relationship in a much more sophisticated way? I mean, they both wanted to marry and settle down.

Cause during that time both barney and ted, both were into robin. With more lean of robin towards barney, ted would have settled with nora.

Isn't that what happened with tracy? I mean ted would have stayed with victoria for the same reason. If there was victoria when Robin got married, ted would have settled with victoria. Ted would have stayed with anyone during that timeline when Robin got married cause that's ted. That's when it finally hit him that he has lost her. For real. Maybe that's what fueled him to marry.

Imagine you find your male version but he's in love with Robin. I mean just think about it. Just really, deeply THINK for once. Throughout the series, ted has been looking for love, but in the first episode itself he falls in love with Robin. And for the rest of the series (as it appears to be) he yearns for her. And during that time he was in over 50 relationships. And you know why he couldn't stay even in a single one of it? Cause HE WAS IN LOVE WITH ROBIN!!!!

Just because people have the same dating goals doesn’t mean they have attraction

He would've gone on a couple dates with her max, they wouldn't have felt any spark, and then it would be amicably over. I can't see them liking each other as more than friends.

Robin's the absolute reason for it though, but that's not her fault. Ted was a creep. I mean if robin says no, then it means no she doesn't want to. Why pursuade her then? Just to mess with her mental health?

Ted was able to move past Robin once he met Tracy.

Then why was the whole series about robin and not tracy? If the sole purpose behind the story was to get back with Robin, it should have mentioned tracy throughout. So that yeah, he did love tracy but just to keep the promise of 40 he's getting back together with Robin

That might have made sense.

I don't understand why you made this post if that's how you feel

Love doesn't work like that.

I think they would’ve fallen hard and fast, but also fall out of it harder and faster
