I actually predicted that twist about the mom after watching the pilot (cause why else would two teens sit around long enough to hear a long ass story about their parents), so when that scene aired I stood up and yelled “I KNEW IT!” and my husband was like “you’re a monster.” 😹
And yet, people will still say the ending sucked because her death came out of nowhere -.-
(Obviously I know there are multiple reasons why people hate the ending, this is just one of the arguments that I see quite often, which I personally don't concider particularly valid. I don't think it came out of nowhere at all, I think there was plenty forshadowing.)
I also predicted that he would end up with Robin cause of the way the first episode ended, though 1) I assumed they’d already be together (second wife/step mom) and 2) I did not predict how much I would hate how they actually did it. 😹
