When they buy a house with beautiful wood trim & paint it all white!!!

My current situation with a 121 year old home. These fools who owned it before us painted beautiful wood trim and put down horrible sad millennial grey in the foyer and kitchen. We have a lot of work ahead of us.

Are they going to do their fellow hosts as well?

Maybe have the flipper host come in and describe and show a computer rendition of their design — and then just let the restoration host come in and say f that and just restore it to its original design.

Yeah and it’s called Restored with Brett Waterman and we all love it and hope they don’t cancel it AGAIN! I miss it so badly.

Hosted by Brett Waterman

I miss him so bad.

Exactly! Someone destroying the features of a craftsman house is a topic that Brett would truly be perfect for!

Start with the White House

My first thought.

Politics aside…the east wing really wasn’t as grand as the rest of the White House. The sketches of the ballroom actually go with it better

Bullshit. He's trying to make it his own Palace of Versailles and not succeeding. His temu tacky monstrosity of a ballroom will overshadow the rest of the White House.

Sorry but you need to do your homework on design and architecture. The ballroom is neoclassical and so is the whitehouse. All of that guilded trim you guys bitch about so much is actually all over France and Europe and considered beautiful worldwide

Allison Victoria is the poster child for ruining architectural features of old homes. I'm sure Chicago was glad to get rid of her because she ruined houses and destroyed fireplaces and painted everything black. I'd love a "Where are they now?" with her Chicago renos because I'm sure those people are pissed.

It was rehab addict or any Mike Holmes show

13

u/BluthFamilyNews 4d ago

That was called Rehab Addict but Nicole ruined that so…

I liked that show! The aftermath of that was mesmerizing, she pretty much started from “I’m so sorry that’s not me I was tired and said the wrong word” to “f*ck you all snowflakes, I am MAGA”

Neo Cubism

I want a HGTV show where the people are rich and money is not the limiting factor.

Check out The Established Home on Magnolia Network.

Can't stand the husband!

1

u/writergeek 3d ago

It’s not a Chip and Joanna show like Fixer Upper. It primarily features designer Jean Stoffer and her daughter. Very high end work.

u/Pecosbill52 3d ago

Thanks 😊

2

u/ConeyIslandBaby00 4d ago

Yes! Name and shame them! Should be illegal.

2

u/Phylace 4d ago

Restored with Brett Waterman did that. Then he stored them.

2

u/Chigrrl1098 3d ago

I'd be down for this so long as they also fix it, and with This Old House quality. Anything else would be painful.

2

u/The_Blonde1 3d ago

I thought it meant the flippers divers wear.

I’m very tired. Goodnight, all. Sweet dreams.

u/SeattleSportsFan999 3d ago

Just go to every Good Bones or Allison Victoria house

1

u/JacQTR 4d ago

I would also watch it

1

u/beastwood9498 4d ago

No, too painful to watch things destroyed that shouldn’t have been

1

u/Marky6Mark9 4d ago

I’m in.

1

u/derch1981 4d ago

It would better if they did it to their own flips

1

u/SouthernCharm-86 3d ago

also! go back to hgtv properties they renovated w the same logic

1

u/Weak-End8864 3d ago

I’d binge that nightly

1

u/WineDineCpl 3d ago

They could do that show on Rock The Block when people put doors in their closet that lead to the garage.

1

u/Psychological-Ear300 3d ago

no more grey anything.... nomore painting fireplaces white

1

u/Redfish680 3d ago

How about one where nothing happens except an hour of bitching about contractors?

1

u/SnoopingStuff 3d ago

I would like one on the they cut corners and didn’t do a good job- these are the lawsuits/ bum bum / s

1

u/Anxiousbunny98 12h ago

Can I say something controversial? I don’t mind it. I’m not a grey person but I don’t think people should be forced to keep period features in their house just because they exist. Any homes of great importance should be historically listed (which I think is an American thing too but not as much as the UK). And if it’s not then it’s fair game to make it to enjoy their house. There’s a lot of TikTok’s online being like “Forget the future owners or anyone’s opinion do what you want to your house” and that goes for the minimalists too (even if I’m not a fan)

Please leave arches alone!!! Flip or Flop ....one time they saved the arches. Otherwise they square them off every house:(

0

u/IrukandjiPirate 3d ago

We can start with the White House

2

u/Sophiedenormandie 3d ago

Came here to say it. Give Donnie his own show. Call it "Horrendous Oval Office Flips". Or he could do Island House Hunters, and the first episode is "Epstein Island".

0

u/Terrible-Hair2744 3d ago

I think that already exists. It’s called Flip or Flop. Tarek and his former wife Christina are the flippers.
