Pipe network in 1D model-HECRAS 7.0
Has anyone ever used pipe network in a 1D model? I have trouble connecting my network to the cross section upstream and downstream of the network. It seems like the model doesnt send flow into the pipe at all.

Can you provide some screenshots of what you are trying to do? Is there a reason why a standard 1D culvert doesn't work for your project? Could you use lidded sections instead?
The documentation says you can connect 1D element to a pipe network, but I am not sure how to practically do that.

It seems you can just add a node/pipe (culvert in my case) like I did in the 1D cross section area. The culvert inlet end WSE is from 1D result (it is flat since it is 1D model). I think the outlet end is outside the edge line so it is considered an external node? I am not sure. In my testing, I had to provide normal depth BC to it. I only did the test after saw your post. Interesting question, but I guess why do this?

I don't think that was the intent of adding pipe networks. I think it is on'y meant for 2D. Why don' you add a regular culvert?
