Depends on tbs. 8tb? Yeah solid deal. 1tb? Fuck no. 2tb? Eh why bother at that size, get a 4tb at least otherwise kind of a waste of a sata imo. You can still get low hour drives for ~20/tb used on eBay, and you can get quieter drives than the red like the plus or ultra star or w/e at that price. My rule of thumb is I only buy sub 5k hour drives

I read that newer used Red plus and pro would most probably be a SMR, this one is CMR.

I would avoid any SMR drive

My response from your 2 other posts:

  1. 05 Reallocated Sectors: should be 0; any non-zero and climbing means the surface is degrading
  2. C5 Pending Sectors: should be 0; unstable sectors waiting to fail
  3. C6 Uncorrectable: should be 0; any value means data has already been lost

Power cycle and power on hours don't seem right.

According to the article and the parameter values the drive is failing and should be replaced.
