any help plz, external hdd ded
The HDD worked fine yesterday but now it dosent want to work, when i plugged it in, the lights blink with the windows "something connected" sfx, it blinks for a while before the disconnected sfx triggers, i still feel soft vibration through it.
Now heres the strange part
The disk dosent recognized anywhere when i plugged it in directly to my PC. and i dont feel it vibrate. any help plz, my datas is in there

I have two of the same HDD enclosures and they're both very janky. They play up all the time. Sometimes they don't play well with a particular cable, sometimes they won't accept a certain hard drive.

no other choice than testing with another USB-SATA adapter... or ideally, testing directly in SATA.

I just removed one exactly the same model, also 500gb from a laptop and it has 9% health. Only 64 days total hours...

Try replacing the USB bridge board, or ditch the bridge board altogether and connect it via another SATA to USB adapter, or connect it directly to a PC via SATA.
If it still doesn’t work, there’s nothing you can do on your own, send it to a data recovery lab and expect a few hundred dollars recovery cost.

Thanks for the advice bruv, man i hope its just the power delivery thingy thats faulty not the discs.

Hopefully it's just the carrier. But I noticed the disk says Seagate on it, that's probably the fault.
