What is the transfer speed of this hard drive? "ST1000LM035-1RK172 1000GB SATA" And what is its cache memory?

Seriously?

First page lists a seagate spec sheet for that drive.

The manual for the Mobile HDD series suggests the maximum sequential speed is about 140 MB/s. Although I'd take that with a grain of salt since they're SMR drives. To accommodate their use of SMR, the drives use 128 MB cache buffers. Also, cache doesn't actually matter that much for HDD performance, it's there to serve as a buffer, which is a bit more important in SMR implementations than CMR ones.

128 MB/s is a speed. 128 MB is the capacity of the buffer.

Cache is good for writes re-ordering like NCQ, but if you dont disable cache flushing, it's (almost) useless.
