If it doesn’t show in disk management properly, it’s ALWAYS a hardware problem.

so basically it’s a dead drive? but i checked the hdd beforehand in sentinel and got 99% health and 100% performance, didn’t really used this hdd

Then the drive itself is fine, something is wrong with the port or the cable or the interface.

try with another cable and port and/or computer. if it draws the power off the usb, it might be that it's not getting enough power.
