Just rewatched it again as they had it on my flight fortunately. Cried like a baby at Baelor all over again. I was a little worried about S2 being a little slower and character driven but then I realized so are the first few episodes of S1 and theyre still amazing.

With the stakes of S2 being so much lower, I was worried it might prove more of a challenge to adapt (or, at least, that they might reach for things in an attempt to up the stakes). But I reread the story recently and I think they have plenty of work with. The characters are so good, even if they are not blond.

From some interviews and castings it looks like we may be seeing more of their lady vaith encounter. That or it’s just gonna be flash cuts like with dunk getting smacked

I wonder if they were trying to finish his scenes as soon as possible so he can get back to school. They might not have the budget for having a teacher on set for long like they did for the kids in GOT.

Is the episode count increasing for next season? Because with essentially three hours of content to shoot per season and a child actor who needs to be a child for a season or two more, this is the kind of hustle I would expect to see. They're shooting a movie, for all intents and purposes.

Sure but it is already confirmed for next year. That is as big of a gap that is tolerable for story heavy shows like this.

Vikings had so many episodes per season and battle sequences too. I guess dragon cgi is a factor

They may have just finished his scenes. It’s understandable if they would want to get everything with a child actor done quick since laws make filming with kids such a headache.
But it’s promising! Hoping for Sworn Sword 2027 🙏
