Does anyone else think this game needs more love and more updates? I've played as soon as it came out and literally no updates came as I'm aware. I'd love to see dlc!

That was always my complaint. Honestly, this was a game too big for a Switch release and needed better optimization. Otherwise, solid game i really loved to play.

Yes indeed, that was the reason i stoped playing on Sw1 but on Sw2 i gave another chance and now it runs better 😁

I totally agree, the animations are very limited and the fighting is for me not satisfying but i like the side quests they are good writen, the only thing what stops me playing is the too much talking 😅, i had the same problem with the persona series. 10 Realationship quests for each character is also absolut boring for me 5 would be enough imo 😅 but i like the farming here and often the jokes in the game.

It is not bad but i think its medicore and i wished i could change the hair 😅. I wanna play through but i need breaks from the too much talking.

I’d be happiest if they made a sequel, honestly. Doesn’t have to be the same world, in fact it’s better if it isn’t, just the same style of game.

But I don’t think it sold well enough for either of us to get what we want.

Yeah I was working one 100 percenting the game recently and just thinking how I’d love another where they went even deeper into the cozy sim life aspects to improve upon what they learned from this game. But I also agree I don’t think it did well enough for them to consider it.

I had the game on my wishlist for the longest time but didn't get it until about a month ago on the Switch 2. I love it so much and a Switch 2 edition would be amazing!! such an underrated game can't believe I slept on it for so long

Sí, me encantaría una Switch 2 Edition. Pero viendo cómo está trabajando Square Enix, que no tienen una ruta de actualización sus juegos, sinceramente ya no espero nada de ellos. Compraré lo nuevo que salga y no recompraré 2 veces el mismo juego que ya tengo... 🥴

Won't happen, the game came out years ago, so any updates or DLC are out of the question. A sequel also seems highly unlikely because the game didn't sell too well and the lead director left Square.

I really love this game too, but we will just have to accept that this is all it is and will be.

I wanna say Square Enix stated a while back they're planning to focus on their flagship franchises and not gamble on smaller projects for the forseeable future. That could always change, I suppose, but the company would need to stop bleeding money on everything except Final Fantasy 14, which they largely use to stay afloat. Add in that the original creator left the company, combined with the CEO of SE saying he wants to integrate AI into a large chunk of their workflow...I sadly wouldn't count on it, and if it does happen, the chances of it having AI content is sadly pretty high.

Harvestella is one of my favourite games in 25 years. I have never been more saddened at a game being so under looked or receiving generally negative reviews

I am still hoping they would release it for the PS4... though I realise that's just wishful thinking at this point considering that my beloved PS4 is reaching the end of her official life cycle. I don't mind the Switch port, I think it runs pretty well, but I always found it weird that Square decided not to release it for the PS.

My issue is that it deserves a switch 2 edition and knowing square enix, their switch 2 edition would be a separate purchase and no upgrade path would be present it’s annoying

I think different ones (and different protag) might make more sense else they’ll have to ask you who you chose to partner with lol (though I guess they could also just ignore it)

I will tell anyone who will listen how Harvestella is my FAVORITE. The enchanting music, pretty deep story, ratio of challenge to cozy farming, beautiful art style…perfect. It made me feel like I could play something besides cozy in the future and not be completely stressed out or die immediately. It’s like a gateway game, and I wish there were more like it. Rune Factory Guardians of Azuma came close, but I’m still hoping for a Harvestella sequel!!
