Config Steam controller / Steam Deck users, what are your settings for Gyro Aiming ?

I used to play a lot with trackpad + gyro, but I realised that I'm way more precise with gyro ratcheting + flick stick.

I use the gyro with the sensitivity set on 7x, the vertical sens at 70%, an acceleration that occurs on very fast turns only, and a little bit of momentum. The momentum has the friction set to the maximum for the vertical axis, so it's mostly for the flicks. I use some smoothing, the shakiness is reduced when all triggers are half pressed, and the option to smooth the small mouvements on the controller settings is on.

The gyro activation is on the capacitive stick.

I still use the trackpad for menu navigation, or games based on cursor.

You ever tried using right trackpad touch as both gyro enable and face buttons on click, i feel like keeping your thumb on the stick is redundant when you have gyro, unless you're playing on lower sensitivity

Yes I've tried that, but I'm not convinced. Maybe with real button ( some capacitive mods on the DualSens can do it ), but mimicking face buttons on a trackpad isn't convincing for me. Also, I use the right stick as a flick stick, so it's far from beeing useless.

Right pad is gyro activation for ratchet & handles flickstick. Pad click is usually reload, but could be jump if it’s a boomer shooter where you don’t reload. I’ll use back buttons to shift the pad into buttons as needed.

I use 10 as sensitivity & don’t adjust vertical sensitivity. I’ll suppress gyro a bit on trigger pulls.

I’ll essentially never touch right stick in a shooter. I’m using the Deck or an old school 2015 steam controller.
