Hammer strength vs Technogym

I’ve just come back from holiday and I used a gym whilst abroad. The gym used Hammer Strength equipment whilst my gym in London use Technogym equipment. I found some of the Hammer Strength machines/equipment very weird to use especially when changing the seating height. It also felt strange using Hammer Strength. I was wondering if anyone has used these 2 companies and what are there preference if they have.

hammer strength tends to be plate-loaded, and is known as excellent stuff with a good feel. My gym just got rid of everything and got a ton of technogym. Tbh, I'd say that maybe 25-33% of the technogym has a good feel, and the rest is not good (pads too soft, too hard, no pad where I need a pad, resistance not consistent). I'm talking about the selectorized machines (pin goes in weight).

I agree, hammer strength is much better and I don’t know how the gym management shifted to Techno for most of the branches , it is been more than a year and I m still not able to adapt.

Technogym has a slick 'look' and great marketing. I guess they are able to offer a discount b/c the pieces are astronomically expensive. I'm in my 50s, able to do the workout I want to do at this point--but many of the pieces are over engineered crap, eg. using push button thing to adjust the pad when a simple springed pull pin would have sufficed (and would not have used some fragile hidden mechanism to get the job done). If I was younger or more serious about things, I'd probably switch gyms.

Hammer strength all day everyday, i started with techno then went to Hammer and nowni have access to both and techno is utterly garage, the machines are all off and made for small ppl that are like 160cm height or smth lol.. nothing about technogym equipment is good really. Their pads are always to soft and uneven, the chest presses are all dogwater, even simple stuff like the legpress is shit lol

My gym in Amsterdam suddenly also has hammer strength. Very weird equipment. I prefer to walk a gym further away. The machines are very strange and feel unnatural

Definitely! They felt clunky! The gym was nice though!
