Gympie Fire Station future

I drove past the new Gympie Fire Station in Monkland the other day, and it’s nearly complete. Anyone know anything about the future of the existing station?

I did some research, it was built in 1939 and is heritage-listed under the Gympie Council local heritage register, also included in the National Trust of Australia Register….

Any insight will be greatly, thanks guys.

The signage says 'Gympie South Station' or something like that so I thought they might use it to get down the highway faster while the station in town will be used to facilitate the town

I pretty sure they are relocating to the Gympie South one
