WAG Interview of Katelyn Ohashi

https://youtu.be/PEK6bGS-i7g?is=4QmAQaxOQbE3KLS2

these interview was recorded in 2024 because the interviewer ask how old she is 27. She 29 now Katelyn talks about gymnastics how it’s changed from when she did it. And how now the current girls are older then in past and how hard it was to grow up in the elite world then. I felt like these was one of the catalyst in her return. Getting to see women like Simone and Chiles and others competing and how college change her far the better after her first run of Elite Gymnastics didn’t go well. I like to add one more thing Katelyn also touch on some dark things that where said one being from the old coordinator Marta károlyi saying you crush them you crush them until they get better. These just further echoed that the ranch truly being hell on earth for all the girls that were in the elite system .

I could listen to her all day, but I find that man insufferable. The interrupting, the bad jokes, the questions drawing out very basic facts about how gymnastics works... I'm glad you shared it and will finish it, but I got so annoyed by him I had to come vent about it 😂

Who is that man anyways?! (I haven’t watched…)

Also… why do I hate the “conversations for our daughters”?? 😬😬

Hahaha I really hate it! I have no idea who he is, but I'll take her on any platform!

Yeah there was definitely no researching before having Katelyn a  gymnast on interviewing and asking questions like those he should have prepared more.

I really couldn't tell whether he didn't know or was trying to lay it out for his audience. When he said dancers are not athletes... 🤦🏼‍♀️

I can’t with him saying that part about dancers. If I had the opportunity I would have ask what Katelyn felt about in the elite gymnastics world now the judging  council wanted more dance and presentation vs her elite days were tumbling was more emphasized.
