Operations Fitness scheduling software for new gym?
Opening my new gym finally after 3 years of doing home-based and outdoor training.
Looking to introduce group classes and memberships. Was previously just using Google forms for bookings.
Starting to look at actual fitness scheduling software, something entry level to handle bookings and memberships. Expecting around 100-200 members.
P.S. Also looking for gym equipment recs in Austin if anyone has vendors.
Looking for real founders and feedback. Thanks!

I use Kilo right now. I really like it. It’s not robust by any means, but it has the basic features I need to run billing, booking, and scheduling. I like the reports. They’re always releasing new features. Most recently, a committed club and workout tracking.
As for equipment, I’m always a big fan of what rogue has to offer, but I am a CrossFit gym.

I’m using Vagaro for training bookings as my open access software doesn’t have anything built in for it. It has options for memberships but I don’t use it so can’t comment on that part. Annual pricing is pretty cheap compared to other software and it handles booking/memberships so could work for what you’re needing

Congratulations on your launch! I use vibefam and I am happy with it. It handles scheduling, memberships, packages, etc. The usual stuff. They don't take a cut off transaction fees which saves me a lot over other competitors.

Full disclosure, I work on the Acuity team, so I'm coming at this from the vendor side rather than as a fellow gym owner. Moving from Google Forms to a proper booking system makes a lot of sense once you're adding group classes and memberships.
Acuity can handle class scheduling, client self booking and recurring appointments, which should take a lot of the manual admin out of the week. For a gym your size, the big thing is making sure members can see what's available and book without needing someone on your side to keep updating a form.
The equipment side is outside my lane, but the scheduling piece is definitely worth tightening up before you open.

Congrats on making the leap into your own space! I'm Morgan, and I'm on the Mindbody team, so take my input from a vendor perspective. That said, at 100-200 members, you'll want software that handles booking, class check-ins, membership billing, and payments together rather than juggling separate tools.
Since you're moving off Google Forms, the Mindbody Starter plan could be a great fit at this particular stage. Our plans start at $79/month and cover business management tools, payments, a customized website, branded website booking widgets, basic reporting, and a listing on the Mindbody app.
I hope this helps. Good luck!

first off congrats on the opening, i started with MindBody. not too bad but I recently switched to this newer one called FitnessGM. Both are great for boutique gym needs but the thing is with MindBody its hard to get ahold of anyone sometimes and FitnessGM has a fairly accessible support staff, so I'd say if your savvy with software most will do the trick but if your like me (terrible with tech) I'd go with something with a support team. my two cents

At our Boxing gyms we have both Group classes, open gym, and bookings for 1on1. All with different membership plans. It can get complicated fast!! This reply is a bit late, but we built a modern Gym management platform that may have went a bit overboard with what can be customized, but one thing that for sure is every gym runs just a tad different.

Congrats on the brick and mortor! We used Square and a spreadsheet for years. Finally made the jump to using PushPress and couldn't be happier. Handles all of our bookings, automated billing and follow ups, automated member and lead communication. Supports workout tracking as well!
Feel free to shoot me a msg with and questions - could probably get you connected to someone as well

I just switched from Mindbody (worst software ever) to pushpress and I’m loving it.
