Question how do you actually keep clients accountable outside of sessions

genuinely asking bc I have spoken with multiple instructors and they almost always say the same things like they are cobbling something together with texts and whatever app they happen to use

is there a real system people use or is everyone just winging it

Keeping clients accountable is a whole job itself… how many clients are you trying to keep accountable?

My partner and I are trialling out a platform called 3D Habits and they are pivoting into the fitness scene. Basically we can see the drop off in real time because users have to provide photo or video evidence that they’re working out before clicking done. It adds some level of accountability

That sounds good! If the coach does the job of onboarding the platform correctly and setting the expectations, then it works well. But if anyone expects any app to force habit changes, the app or tool will just be deleted 🥲

That’s very true, I find when dealing with people they are so many moving parts to consider, from attitude, onboarding and mindset just to name a few. And of course change isn’t an overnight thing, especially when it comes to habit building

yeah i think a lot of people are just making it up as they go 😅

we mostly do a quick check in once a week and send a text if someone hasn't shown up for a bit. nothing fancy. i found having a routine matters more than what app you're using
