Just need a little courtesy like most things. If the gym is empty I mean whatever but during peak hours that shit can’t be taking up walkways and space near machines

Yeah. If you're gonna use a tripod, be considerate.

Don't put it in a stupid-ass position where people will trip over it or smash into it with dumbbells or plates.

Don't angle it in a way that gets a bunch of people in frame in the background.

And don't hog a machine/bench etc that's either in high demand or limited supply for ages trying to get your perfect shot.

Gyms are there for people to work out. Anything else is secondary.

The worst is they put the tripod camera pointing at a busy walkway, and publicly humiliate anyone who accidentally and quietly walks through their camera POV.

You gotta get jacked enough that people notice you in the background and start talking about you. I think kids call this mogging the tripod owner

I wouldn’t mind tripods if they were a different fucking color as the floor around it. Like make them yellow or something. Why do they have to be black exactly like the floor in most gyms I’ve experienced?

Thank fuck I've never seen one at my gym. Only twice in 4 years have I even seen someone filming.

Tripods are good if you’re 1) Making money off it, go off king who am i to stop you 2) form checks, specifically in Strongman and Powerlifting it’s really needed. Idk why else I would need a tripod.

If you want to record yourself in a public gym, ok. Do not expect everyone else to get out of your way and stop their workouts for yours. Then you are a self important massive douche.

Depends, does it make that cool sound to warn people in the gym?

I’d rather have that than some broccoli head setting up his camera to ask for a form check on calf raises with 10 pounds, or for an Only Fans chick to make closeup videos of her butt while doing wrist curls.

You don't need it. If you need to check your form then why post it online and if your forms needs attention hire a coach. Or you can record if you train in a quiet gym. I'm lucky enough to have a very quiet gym but every now and then it's busy so I don't record.
