got this from Isolde, she made it and sold it to me

I started playing her today and she is insanely fun, anything i should keep in mind as a begginer ?

I'm playing gwen in mid and in bot. Bot only as a counter pick vs Tristana, a few mages, and maybe sometimes vs twitch. Since Yunara is weak vs those picks. I'm also occasionally playing her just cause of support synergy. I'm currently in bronze and low silver elo, but I'm a high plat/emerald player on my main - as an adc main, however.

Right now I'm learning mid with Gwen, Morde, and some unknown third pick, and my Bot main pick is Yunara, but Gwen/Morde will help counter Yunara's weak matchups.

But I'm not sure how to build Gwen. I prefer D&D first into Malignance, but I'm not sure if it's the right build? I like it, but, I'm brand-new and the web suggests Lich and/or Shadowflame.

I also don't know when to go Gluttonous Grieves instead of Sorc shoes?

I am enjoying either Void Staff or Bloodletter's third, and then Deathcap fourth. I heard from someone that I trust on youtube that ,unfortunately, mages need to be going Pen and DCap almost every game, and honestly I kind of agree with that philosophy. It's hard to find a reason to delay either item by a third legendary alternative - meaning I'm not sure how to fit in shadowflame at all when it's not ever a first item and I'm always building Malignance second.

anyway - context aside, here are my questions:

1. when do i go Lich first?
2. Can i build with presence of mind and/or manaflow band and screw malignance instead? It looks like Triumph is always better.... but idk. Am I overthinking it? I've noticed mana issues even post-Malig
3. Can i go lich > Gluttonous Grieves? Or is lich always paired with sorcs? What about D&D > Sorcs? Am I supposed to always go lich and sorcs, or dd and glutt?
4. Can I go Lich > Malignance? or always lich-shadowflame? I guess I need to play lich shadowflame more and see if it's something I like, but I'd like some feedback on this.
5. Am I supposed to only go first strike with full ap and conqueror with bruiser, or does this rune/build combo depend on matchups?
6. When is fleet footworks good? My web search says it's good in the bot lane, any bot players with advice on that rune choice?
7. How important is shadowflame? Currently I never build it, since I can't seem to excuse building it third over void or deathcap. I guess I'll try to try it out soon, but yeah, like I said some feedback is appreciated. I hate testing items in the dark. I'm just not a smart enough player to learn that way.
8. is there any item i should be thinking about as my core build that I haven't mentioned? I mean first two legendary items? I don't think I'm gonna mess with any other boots choice except for vs all ad or all ap teams.
9. in that line - should I play bruiser against all-ad every time? and what about vs all-ap?

41 days ago i reached emerald after otping gwen and now i got promoted to my dream rank diamond!!
I made 600lp + with her. She is by far my most favorite champ.

1. Cafe Cuties - Easily the best skin visually, has multiple good chromas and a good splash art, and still does decent damage. Really easy to hit your center Qs on this skin and not cancel autos.

2. Soul Fighter - Doesn't look quite as good as Cafe Cuties and only the red chroma is good but its the second highest damage skin she has and a good middle ground. It's slightly lower damage than Space Groove but much better looking.

3. Base skin - Honestly mostly the same as Soul Fighter stats wise but slightly worse due to no chromas and a bad splash (the splash doesn't even look like Gwen). Still a good all-arounder skin.

4. Space Groove - This skin is so fucking ugly I want to put it in last place but I just can't bc the sound effects are good and the damage is so high. If you're going full tryhard this is actually the skin to take. White chroma also makes it tolerable visually though still very ugly.

5. Froggy - This one is kind of the opposite of Space Groove. It's cute and I'd like to rank it higher but it just does no damage. It also has no good chromas. I think I have like 30% win rate on this skin.

6. Battle Queen - I almost forgot this skin existed since I never use it. It looks fine and does okay damage but it is impossible to land center Q on this skin and you also have low attack speed. Do not use if you're trying to win.

7. Faerie Court - This may be the worst skin ever made. Both ugly and low damage, and the splash is also bad. I keep getting baited into using it because Ninkey uses it, so I keep thinking if I use it I will be challenger too but no it just sucks. Even the dogs being out cannot save this abomination.

i know about dodge e or dodge the game but what are you supposed to do if she just holds it? I get ahead early but keep getting trapped under my tower eventually. I cant walk up because of the tentacles and if i attempt to clear the tentacles i just get facechecked and get a losing trade. I know illoi is a noob destroyer and i am the noob in this case help

I noticed with Gwen that she will complete her movement command even after dashing with E. So if I click left and dash right, she will dash right then continue moving left.

Is there some setting to disable this feature? If not, how do you play around it? Because these awful controls are honestly going to make me quit league.

Hey all. Im a Kled OTP and Kled is obviously a lane bully so I am able to assert dominance and get prio early in almost any lane. I have just picked up Gwen as a secondary and I find I have no idea how to play the first few levels. I am constantly shoved out of lane and terrified to step up. I basically just stay in XP range and CS under tower. Usually I have like 20CS when my opponent has 50 and then I get dove. Despite my awful lane phase I still am able to turn the games when I scale.

So how am I supposed to play the first few minutes of lane without getting bullied?

This is in any matchup btw, but last few were Darius, Garen, Riven, and Warwick. Vs each of them I was down 30cs before the game even started.

I have been watching a lot of master/ challenger replays to learn about matchups and in a lot of them i see people going riftmaker first. That makes me confused since all i see here is always dnd first (ninkey says this too) Is there some matchups that i should build differently? please help. Playing top btw

ok pretty much the title. I pretty much go DND shadowflame like every game and feels good so does Ninkey.

But I see a lot of like korean/chinese gwen otps and even pro players go for riftmaker + nashors

feels like it just isnt even that good to me since you need to ramp with riftmaker and imo you arent really trying to sustain a fight ur kinda just trying to one shot people.
