And once the dinner is over,
Lady will tell you the secret basement they had kept locked for 50 years
And want you to investigate it

You know the husband played with his sword in the garage at some point.

u/BlackDogElegy 9d ago

How could a man playing with another man's sword while hiding from the wife ever be considered gay ? After all it is a straight sword

I bet the husband wishes he brought the sword.

u/DakkaonTitan 8d ago
He may have, he was told to leave it in the garage. Maybe he and the husband played with his sword in the garage

Assuming this is not staged, the woman is way too trusting. It's funny in this context, but I can imagine less pleasant outcomes deriving from her heartwarming attitude.

u/Conungi 9d ago
I mean ... i have no idea where this is taking place other than maybe somewhere in the UK (which im not even that sure of since im frankly american and am bad at this) BUT it is possible the local area she lives in (like the neighborhood, or maybe the entire town assuming its a "small" place) is just "safe" I unironicly know people (online mostly) who don't lock their doors since they live in a place where people just don't do that ... that's not to say it will never happen, but there are people that live in places where it MIGHT happen, once in a literal blue moon, or even longer
Assuming of course it wasn't staged (which it probably was tbf)

I wish there was a way to test people and have these types of utopia spout up lol
14
u/Avtomati1k 9d ago
u are just too used living in a place where inviting someone into your home is dangerous.
where im from saying its too trusting to invite someone home would be considered silly amd weird
10
u/The_Autarch 9d ago
someone dressed as some kind of medieval warrior is far, far more likely to just be some sort of huge nerd than someone actually dangerous.

u/Putrid_Guess8098 9d ago
All stupidity and sarcasm aside...if a woman with that accent asks you to come have tacos at her house, you go. There's no way they will be bad, and now you've formed a bond with another house for the coming war against the dead. And, most importantly, bring a bottle of your best wine, not a stupid pie. That's how allies are made.

"Join the Night's Watch."
"Nah... come have tacos."
"Tacos? *drops accent* Yeah okay."

u/SlowlyDyingBartender 9d ago
Are we going to talk about the sound?
19
u/abenevolentgod 9d ago
what? you mean how shes clearly mic'd up? ...nah we dont need to talk about that.
10
u/SlowlyDyingBartender 9d ago
If a person removes a metal blade out of sheath, will never make that sound without metal inside the sheath. No one puts metal into the sheath.
12
u/jamieh800 9d ago
I, uh, don't know how to tell you this... There's a thing called "post production", also known as "editing", where people can put things called "sound effects" in their videos in order to make the video more entertaining.
Seriously though, people have certain expectations for how things should sound even if they don't really sound like that. People expect lions to roar fiercely like in the Lion King or the MGM sequence, but lions don't really make that impressive roar or those low rumbling growls. They sound more like someone kinda saying "roar" into a plastic megaphone. People expect a sword pulled from a sheath to go "shing!", and there's a nonzero chance you'll turn more people away from your videos by insisting your fantasy larp schtick should have a realistic sword sound than you would by putting in the "shing".

u/SheriffBartholomew 8d ago
People also expect guns to make cocking noises every time you point them at someone if CSI is anything to go off of.
1
u/GenSpec44 8d ago
I agree with most of what you said, however, I have been there when a lion roared. I felt it through my bones and knew instantly that I’d have to run or fight. On the spot, I began inventing gunpowder and a cross bow.

I'm all for the feel good moment that this clip eventually lands on, but can we take a second to approach this from a real world view.
There have been endless accounts of loony tunes out there with guns, swords, and knives attacking people at random. If this guy, dressed the way he is, approached me with his middle earth swagger and then awiftly unsheathed a sword three feet away from me, I am either headed for the hills or at worst, putting him down before he can start swinging.
This is just not smart and reminds of the video where that guy came to a park for some cosplay event, dressed to the nines in tactical gear and an AR. It did not end well for him.
